Winter is coming.
Well, today I decided to add a blog page to my website. Not sure why, I guess sometimes I like going on rambles, so here's a place to put them where they'll stick a bit better than Twitter.
I had to update every .html page on the site to include the "Blog" link in the navigation bar, wasn't hard. Have ChatGPT programming away for me, spoon feeding me all the code I need.
Got a new 4TB SSD coming off Amazon and a USB-C adapter for it. Need to deal with the silly "One time passcode" shit from Amazon. I was waiting at the door when some delivery driver pulled in, didn't even leave their vehicle, and drove away. What the heck?
I went to Amazon live chat right away and politely complained / Karen'd out a bit, got in touch with their logistics team and they said "yeah, driver shouldn't have done that", so they should be coming back soon. Writing this around 17:10, for reference. Prime day, woo!
Also went to the mechanics this morning and got a Y-pipe I got off RockAuto, installed. Paid $46 in shipping on RockAuto, the pipe was supposed to be here last Thursday, got here last night....
Thankfully my mechanic was an absolute hero and took the car on short notice and now the Rav4 is all sorted again, as it should be.
Got a good amount done at work today too, we have a new employee starting next week, ordered a laptop for him plus another staff starting. Had a meeting with the I.T. department to talk about stuff',
I've been getting more done at work recently than I ever have in the past. Something just kinda' clicked and I unlocked an understanding of how a bunch of the network works.
I have an awesome manager too, that's been making life decent.
Anyyways, what else did I do today? Leg day at the gym, hate that, never skip it though. Trying to maintain ultra clean diet, getting hard since I'm getting very low bodyfat again.
Once I get to the point I am now, that's where the food cravings really kick in, and I'm trying to just use caffeinated drinks to supress hunger. I want to order food so bad, but will probably manage to avoid it tonight.
I bought a Kenwood DMX958XR today too, that's neat. Was around $1,150.00 CAD. I'm putting it in the 1994 Mustang, it's the same unit I put in the 2006 Rav4.
Currently the radio in the Mustang is a crappy old unit that doesn't even have Bluetooth. I never even use the speakers in that car, they work, but I gotta' sort it all still.
For now though, the Kenwood unit will be a decent upgrade.
Oh! I also took the 2008 Hyundai Elantra out from the backyard today. It was sitting there for around 4-5 months, I started it a few times. It started up happily, but the rear drivers wheel was locked,
and it took about 20 feet for it to free. It got around the block, after a few hard braking moments, the brakes seemed back to fine. Going to check the tire pressure whenever I get around to it, and get some oil for it, might get the oil tomorrow.
Did oil changes recently on both 94 + 02 Mustangs, + the Rav4, just need to do the Hyundai. Since I use not-cheap synthetic oil and a good FRAM filter, and do the changes myself, I do them once a year right now,
I've made the schedule for it in the fall, before winter. I don't put enough kilometers on them to change it twice a year, in my opinion. Plus I don't skimp on cheap oil, so i'm not worried.
I cleaned up some car parts in my room yesterday, and found some rear upper control arms, and front lower control arms, that were originally going to go into the 2002 Mustang, but since it's getting a 1000+whp 2JZ and coilovers,
and the front control arms are meant for spring suspension, I'm thinking about picking up some rear lower control arms, maybe sway bars, and throwing it all in the 94' mustang, because why not.
Don't really plan on engine swapping the 94' mustang ever, but some suspension bits can't hurt. I don't care about NVH.
Anywho, I guess that's it for now. Have a nice day y'all.
