What to blog today...? Hmmm.. Oh - Here's a ramble for you!

Well, not much going on today. Using ChatGPT I successfully got Arch Linux installed on one of my laptops last night, I daily-drive Windows 11 as my main operating system, and throughout my years I've tried Linux, but Ubuntu is too simple and not the full experience of Linux really compared to what some people think. Arch I tried many years ago but couldn't figure out the commands and gave up. I know put the .iso on a USB with Rufus and how to boot into it, but I could never figure out all the commands to get Arch up with a GUI. ChatGPT could though. I gave it the laptop model and said I want a start-to-finish guide on how to install Arch Linux, and to pause and ask me along the way any variables, it did, and worked good. Installed with LUKS encryption, and after it was installed, I wanted the date format to be YYYY-MM-DD and time format HH:MM, so ChatGPT stumbled at first but got me through that too. And then I removed some of the pre-installed programs I won't need. I installed KDE Plasma for the graphics environment. Audio also wasn't working at first but ChatGPT took me through fixing that like a breeze. What a marvel of technology. We had so much at our fingertips before 2020, but in 2020ish when ChatGPT hit, things changed massively. I used version 3.5 or whatever the first public ChatGPT version was, when it first came out, I've been a ChatGPT plus subscriber since, I'm not shilling it for no reason, I use it for my job, I use it for figuring out car stuff, I use it for random computer things, It's crazy how good A.I. has become. My preference isn't to pay for a web model that tracks me and whatnot, but I'm being realistic, it's just so superior, and I voice voice rant to it my issues too, and it will respond figuring out whatever I want. Deepseek has just came out, and seems like it's going to be a game-changer for locally hosted A.I., which is awesome, but I want something that's not a bunch of conversation threads feeding into some response algorithm, it's cool to have those too, but I'm looking forward to the first fully-featured A.I. assistant. Something that is like MegaMan from the anime minus all the battling bullshit. Just something that wakes up up however you want uniquely saying "ayyye fucker it's gym time wake up" then next morning something comepletely different, etc. Eh, that's enough ranting about that for now, but yeah, that's my ideal end-game for A.I. Just let me talk into my phone when I want or my computer, and it can interact with whatever program, send messasges, tell me things, etc. Current ChatGPT is great for solving things, but it's still noticeably lacking a personality or memory, which is by design not a technical limitation. Okay - that's the A.I. rant for now. Other than that, the tax break for pokemon cards is over, and I should probably stop buying so many Pokemon cards for a bit. I keep saying that, but I got a few hundred $ worth today and have a few hundred $ worth coming in the mail, eh, so far deep collecting these sets I am, fuck it, we ball, gonna' keep finishing the sets off Bunch of just random ranting in this blog post, innit? Drove the Subaru (Which I will refer to as the Habboru here-on-out) around today, and when I got home I had the genius idea to fill a bucket with hot water, grab a rag, and wash off the road dirt and salt. Going to start doing that more, car looked so much better after, and was annoying with this car thinking the paint was just sitting there being damaged by salt and dirt. I get paid this Thursday, woo! Definitely need to pay off a bit of credit card from buying the Pokemon cards, then will have some spare to withdraw to put towards the TR7 and Fiero. Woo hoo! Seriously not bothered by being in debt, but I do miss being able to rogue spend so much, haha! Time to start paying things down. Not going to be modding the cars too much more this summer, will HOPEFULLY be enjoying the TR7 and maybe Fiero. Alrightie, I wasn't even sure what to write for a blog post today but now I've writen quite the ramble. Have a nice day, reader!
